Gostilna Murko: over 120 years of family tradition in Slovenj Gradec
Gostilna Murko in Slovenj Gradec has been welcoming guests since 1903. Today it is run by the fourth and fifth generations of the family, and between the tables you can already hear the voice of the sixth. The Falstaff Restaurant Guide Slovenia 2026 awarded it 85 points, and the kitchen works with local suppliers.

On the plate
The menu brings traditional Koroška cooking together with a contemporary approach. The house speciality is mežerli, an old regional dish made from finely chopped offal. Alongside it guests will find lamb shank, bograč and other stews, the chef's risotto, beef tartare, house liver pâté and cakes for celebrations.
Summer and winter garden
The inn has a covered summer and winter garden under a timber roof, comfortable in every season and well suited to larger groups and celebrations.

Ginarnica, the house distillery
The distillery's story goes back to 1903, when Maks and Ana ran an inn and a blacksmith's forge on this spot. For her tired husband, Ana distilled a spirit from juniper berries from her native Brinjova gora. In 2019 AnĹľe and Lucija, the fifth generation of the family, reworked her recipe and created AP gin, made with juniper and six spices.

Ginarnica also makes Planinkovec, a sweet pelinkovec liqueur, and Luchello limoncello, and offers gift sets. Visitors can book a tasting, team building or a make-your-own-gin session in advance.
